* This post is sponsored by Paula’s Choice, a brand I have been using for nearly ten years. I’m thrilled to work with them, and also to share that…
Paula’s Choice has landed at Sephora! Paula’s Choice is available to shop on Sephora online now, and in-stores in April.
This means you can score free shipping and gain Rouge points on your Paula’s Choice purchases. This makes the brand even more accessible.
To celebrate, I’m sharing five of my favorite Paula’s Choice products at Sephora. Together, these five products would be a well-rounded skincare routine for someone with normal to oily skin (like me!).
The Products
The C15 Super Booster is one of my favorite vitamin C serums, truly effective in brightening the skin. It’s 15% l-ascorbic acid with ferulic acid. It helps to brighten the skin, boost radiance, and fade dark spots. It’s also a powerful antioxidant that helps protect the skin from oxidative stress. It’s a lightweight, watery texture that sinks in very quickly. I apply this as my first step after cleansing in the AM. I’ve emptied several bottles of these and it’s a vitamin C that I fully trust in terms of efficacy.
The 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is a must-have in my skincare wardrobe. I’ve used this product for at least 8 years, maybe more? It’s a 2% salicylic acid chemical exfoliant that, unlike many other exfoliants on the market, also hydrates the skin. If you struggle with oiliness, dullness, congestion, or blemish-prone skin, this is the product for you. This will help pores appear clearer and impart an even skin tone. I use this 1-2 times a week by soaking a cotton pad and applying over the face, avoiding eyes. Always wear SPF when using chemical exfoliants!
The Clinical Ceramide-Enriched Firming Eye Cream is a deliciously rich anti-aging eye cream. It contains 0.01% retinol to target fine lines and wrinkles. The texture is a rich, creamy lotion that spreads over the eye area easily and leaves the area feeling bouncy. Vitamin C helps to address under-eye darkness; and ceramides help to strengthen the thinner skin under the eyes.
The Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer gives you juicy skin with no heaviness in texture — such a unique formula. It’s a gel cream that transforms on contact with the skin into a super hydrating, watery texture. It plumps up the skin while remaining very lightweight, no heaviness on the skin whatsoever. It’s ideal especially for normal to oily skins that might find traditional moisturizers too thick.
The Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid with Broad Spectrum SPF 50 is a very cosmetically elegant. It uses organic/chemical UV filters, meaning it won’t leave a white cast, even on deeper skin tones. It’s a watery, liquidy texture that is incredibly hydrating — I can skip moisturizer under this in the summer when I’m a bit more oily. I’ve gone through several tubes of this, and always have it on hand.
How to Create a Skincare Routine
AM:
Cleanse
Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer (could skip in the summer personally!)
PM:
For drier skins, I would incorporate a richer moisturizer. For mature skin, I would incorporate a retinol, like the 1% Retinol Treatment.
